CHRISTOPHER GUY, a most exclusive furniture brand in the world, is in need of a Director of Human Resources for our manufacturing facilities in Semarang. This position will be directly responsible for the Sinabung office as well as factory operations at their two factories in Semarang.

Job description

Responsible for full spectrum of HR functions and processes in country level (especially central java) including talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, learning & development, performance management, employee relations, staff retention and regulatory compliance.

  • Oversee staff operations, business planning and budget development of HR programs.
  • Plan, direct and manage all Human Resources initiatives; recruitment, compensation, benefits, training and employee relations of an organization.
  • Ensure policies, procedures and HR programs are consistently administered, aligned with organizational goals and are in compliance with professional standards, state and regulatory requirements and laws.
  • Partner with the business leaders to achieve the business objectives.
  • Provide HR strategy and solutions to accelerate the people development towards business achievements.
  • Review, develop and implement HR policies, processes and programs to ensure they align with organizational goals. These must be reviewed every year to adapt to a changing business climate.
  • Responsible for building a strong culture to engage the employees with effective communications.
  • Conduct and Analyze training needs to improve employee development, language trainings including safety and health
  • Lead, coach and mentor the local HR team members to build professional HR competence and deliver comprehensive HR services to the business.
  • Implement detailed manpower reports every quarterly to The Corporate office.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and above is a plus for Human Resources or related field.
  • At least 10 years’ progressive HR working experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders in matrix organizations.
  • People – oriented with excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Result – oriented, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experienced working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High degree of integrity and honesty; demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality and neutrality in complex and highly sensitive situations.
  • Experience in System Integration or IT industry is a must.
  • Have the experience working for a huge MNC dealing with more than 1000 labor intensive workers is preferable.
  • Successful track record in setting priorities, keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which support and enable sound decision making
