Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of one of the world’s leading medical devices companies. Our respected client is seeking a sales professional, preferably with at least 5 years’ experience with a multinational pharmaceutical or consumer goods company, for the job of Sales Manager. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Develop markets and customers, achieving sales targets, providing general customer service in the various areas of responsibility.
- Under minimal supervision, the scope of this position is to be fully accountable for the development of revenues and margin for the full company product portfolio across Indonesia.
- Develop annual sales and marketing plans for the organisation’s range of products.
- Liaise with key stakeholders from cardio metabolic business units to be totally familiar with the company’s product portfolio
- Establish relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and Key Decision Makers in order to create market awareness of the products through demonstrations and representations
- Organise and manage product evaluations, user groups and creation of local reference sites in the different regions
- Monitor and report on competitive activities
- Carry out duties in compliance with established business policies
- Responsible for exhibiting professional behaviour with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices
- Development of executive level sales/selling skills utilising a financial, operational and clinical framework
- In combination with the Management Team, lead a team of Area Sales Supervisor coordinating team-selling efforts with field sales and marketing
- Hold Area Sales Supervisor accountable for creating viable business plans and for achieving sales goals within assigned accounts
- Establish long-term business relationships with customers of strategic significance
- Perform responsibilities with tact and interpersonal awareness internally and externally, to achieve optimal organizational impact
- Possesses strong conceptual reasoning and demonstrate excellent problem solving abilities in order to anticipate future problems and opportunities; create viable alternatives to problems and insure successful resolutions to business and personnel issues
- Create sales and market share goals for General Manager for the accounts they are assigned
- Measure goals and make adjustments accordingly.
Key job requirements include:
- At least 5 years industry experience with ideally 3 years of experience in cardio metabolic functions
- Experience will have been gained from within a global healthcare (pharma, life sciences, bio-pharma, diagnostics etc.)
- Commercial excellence and outstanding sales and marketing expertise
- Ideally experience delivering change initiatives and facilitating change in a customer focused organisation
- Ability to think innovatively and not be constrained by current practices
- Experience in working on strategic topics
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Fluency in English is preferred
